"Police have uncovered a large DVD piracy operation in Auckland. The enterprise in a boarding house in the suburb of Three Kings had nine DVD burners ready to churn out almost a quarter of a million DVDs a year.
A 24-year-old Chinese man has been arrested.
Richard Storey from the New Zealand Federation Against Copyright Theft says the operation was extremely up-to-date. He says they have had a brief look at the titles, but they include movies like Beowulf, 30 Days of Night, and American Gangster, some of which are yet to be released in cinemas here."
